Allandale is bringing to Sydney one of the Hunter Valley’s classic
varieties, Semillon, in a rare and not to be missed Vertical Tasting
of Allandale Semillons.

Join the Allandale winemaking team at MoS Cafe & Bar for an intimate
evening to showcase our award winning Semillons in a vertical tasting
consisting of 10 years of Allandale Semillon accompanied by gourmet
cheese plates.
You have the rare opportunity to taste aged Semillons, some of which
we have less than a dozen left, as well as our latest trophy winner,
the 2007 Semillon and the new release of our Winemaker’s Reserve 2011
Semillon. You will have the option to buy Allandale’s famous Semillons
and speak to the winemaker himself.

Lovedale Long Lunch

The Lovedale Long Lunch was started in 1994 to market Lovedale as
a premium wine producing area and tourist attraction. Now in its 18th
year, it includes seven wineries and vineyards to visit over the Long
Lunch weekend.
The Lovedale Long Lunch has been the winner at the Hunter Region
Awards for Excellence in Tourism for the category Significant Regional
Festivals and Special Events in 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2007. In 2006
the event was classified as a Regional Flagship Event by Tourism NSW.
In 2009 the event was presented with an Award of Distinction by the
Hunter Region Tourism Organisation.
The Lovedale Long Lunch is an annual event, held on the third weekend
in May. It is a progressive-type lunch where visitors wine and dine
their way around the seven participating wineries over the weekend
enjoying a glass of wine, gourmet food, fabulous music and art. This
event is a must for all food and wine lovers. Come and see for yourself!
Strings in the Winery

Since 1995 a highlight in our calendar at Allandale has been Strings
in the Winery, with Paul Goodchild on trumpet and in Bacchus Sinfonietta
which includes musicians from the strings section of the Sydney Symphony
Orchestra. This is a very refined event of exceptional food, wine
and classical music - always a sell out and a truly magical night.
Who could forget the haunting sound of 'The Last Post' being played
by Paul Goodchild on his trumpet in the vineyard for Remembrance Day
in November 2003?

Vertical Tasting of Semillons

Join the Allandale winemaking staff in an intimate tasting evening
on the June Long Weekend. The vertical tasting will be 10 Years of
Allandale Semillon, allowing guests to taste wines some of which we
have less than a dozen left and will never be released again. Hosted
amongst the vats in the winery, you can see where it all begins, to
the finished product. You will be the first to taste our 2011 Winemakers'
Reserve 'Creek Flat' Semillon, before it has even been bottled. Come,
enjoy Allandale Semillon and indulge in some Hunter Valley gourmet
cheeses.
